As a professional translator, I work with businesses, aid agencies and multinationals to reach clients, partners, donors, and everyone around the globe. Language and culture divides are reduced through translation and other language services.
Translation in Africa is a huge untapped market of great opportunities
I have been thinking that translators in Africa are yet to tap into mass markets and into certain industries/brands in Africa. For example, the fashion, food, and cosmetics industries portray the dynamism of consumption trends in Africa. Businesses in Africa will benefit immensely from the huge markets within and outside the continent through translation and language services.
Joy Ezemonye holds a B.A. in French, a Dip. in General Translation Studies, and a Master I & II in Specialized Translation (Subtitling). She has undergone certified professional and leadership training to add value to her work.
Joy has been working as a professional freelance translator for more than a decade. She is passionate about translation and the power of words (and graphics) for making ideas, information, and knowledge come to life. She has used her knowledge of cultural specificities to translate for clients across diverse sectors/fields – Environment, Dance & Arts, Economy and Sustainable development, Export and Tourism, General administration etc. in Senegal, Nigeria, Malaysia, Vienna (University of Applied Arts), and South Africa. Joy has made working visits to Togo, Cote d’Ivoire, Senegal, and The Gambia.
Joy is a member of both the Nigerian Institute of Translators and Interpreters (NITI) and the Senegalese Association of Translators (ASTRA). Joy is the Lead Coordinator (Translation and Language services) at AUDE Translingual Services Limited. She is discreet and dedicated to her profession. She is a wordsmith par excellence.
Our mission is to provide professional translations and relevant language services to reach our clients’ market and public and promote their products and services across the African continent and beyond. Language is a bridge across linguistic and cultural barriers that opens hitherto un-explored frontiers.
We are dedicated to training professionals through the provision of language services to meet their specific language needs.
Our vision at AUDE Translingual Services Limited is to be a preferred provider of professional language services (Translation, Interpretation, Language instruction, Subtitling etc.) to emerging and established brands, SMEs, and startups, across Africa and beyond. Our collaboration with Joy Ezemonye dates to the beginning of Ecofund’s activities, which started 8 years ago.
The quality of her translations has helped to stir up, in our readers and partners, awareness on and commitment for our cause – the protection of the flora and fauna in countries where we work.
We highly recommend translation services offered by Joy and her team.
We have worked with Joy for several years now to translate our Senegal Tourism directories.
It has been a real pleasure to work with someone with multicultural knowledge, which made our work easier.
